Specimen 23: Control

Allen Fletcher is a Boston detective who trusts evidence. Brian Maynard is a recent college graduate trying to decide what comes next. They live on opposite sides of the country and have no reason to know each other.

Then an obstacle-course competition puts them on the same trail.

What begins as an unsettling coincidence leads to questions neither family can answer—and to records that were never meant to matter again.

The deeper Allen and Brian look, the harder it becomes to believe their connection is accidental.

And whatever happened began long before either of them knew there was a mystery to solve.
